Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Med/Surg unit. This PRN - As Needed role involves caring for a diverse patient population on a 27-bed unit, working closely with RNs and CNAs to support assessment, planning, treatment, and patient comfort.

The position emphasizes teamwork, open communication, and professional growth in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current Listing as CNA in North Carolina Division of Facility Services (as applicable by ad) or state CNA certification
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and possibly take blood glucose measurements.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, ambulation).
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Keep patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
