Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Med/Surg Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time role on a 27-bed unit. You will collaborate with RNs and CNAs to provide patient-centered care with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and 1:12 CNA-to-patient ratio.

The position requires a current NC CNA listing, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification. You will support patient comfort, safety, and discharge planning while maintaining a professional team

Qualifications

• Current listing as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the state of North Carolina Division of Facility Services.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, ambulation).
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
