Job summary

Intermountain Health in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Surgical Inpatient team. You will provide basic patient care, help with daily activities, and coordinate with RNs to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care and respond to patient and family requests with excellent service.
• Report and document patient care findings promptly.
• Monitor patients and assist RNs; perform telemetry as required.
• Transport medications to the RN on the unit.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities (phones, orders, unit records).
• Follow plan of care and regulatory standards in daily tasks.
• Maintain safety and emergency readiness on the unit.
