Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a Critical Care Technician to support the patient care team in the Emergency Department and ICU areas. The role involves responding to needs, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures under supervision. Must have CNA, EMT, or MA certification and good communication skills.

Experience in hospital or critical care settings is preferred. Shift differential applies for evenings, nights, and weekends; position is on-site in Cedar City, Utah.

Qualifications

• C.N.A., EMT, or MA certification required by state practice.
• High School diploma or GED compliant with CLIA regulations for Point of Care Testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient care needs by answering call lights and assisting with hygiene.
• Performs 12-lead EKG duties and other tasks within training level.
• Assists with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges with safe handling.
• Orders and maintains floor stock and unit supplies; performs unit secretary duties.
• Reports findings promptly and secures assistance for changes in patient condition.
• Assists with emergency resuscitation and setup for line insertions; retrieves supplies.
• Provides courteous patient and family service and collaborates with RNs and the care team.
