Job summary

Ingalls Memorial Hospital, part of the University of Chicago Medicine system, seeks a Clinical Associate (CNA) for the Med Surg unit. This 100% onsite role is based in the greater Chicagoland area and involves patient preparation and meal assistance alongside direct patient care.

Under the Manager and Clinical Supervisor, you will perform assigned supportive tasks, participate in hourly rounds, assist with admissions, maintain infection control, and provide compassionate care aligned with unit

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Active BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the values and mission of Ingalls Memorial Hospital.
• Delivers direct patient care and comfort measures.
• Provides hourly rounds to assess patient needs.
• Assists with admissions by preparing rooms and orienting patients.
• Observes infection control policies and follows unit Scope of Care.
• Supports transition of care under supervision of the nurse.
