Job summary

Griffin Health in Derby, CT is seeking a Medical/Surgical Unit-Based Clinical Nurse Educator to support the 2 North Leadership Team and nursing development. The CNE will help orient new staff, design unit competencies, and implement in-service programs to promote safe, consistent patient care.

You will partner with nursing leadership to identify education needs, develop curricula, and support staff with unit-specific processes, policies, workflows, and documentation.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required; MSN preferred.
• 2-4 years acute care experience.
• Current Connecticut nursing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with the 2 North Leadership Team and Department of Professional Development and Nursing Excellence to provide a framework of services that promote growth and development of nursing.
• Assist with orientation and onboarding of all nursing staff, including Student Nurse Interns.
• Develop and implement relevant competencies and in-service programs.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify education needs and assist staff with unit-specific processes, policies, workflows, documentation, and other practices to promote safe patient care.
