Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center in Utah is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator Med Surg to oversee patient-centered care and unit coordination. You will collaborate with the management team to direct nursing care, drive staffing efficiency, and engage in initiatives that elevate clinical outcomes and the patient experience.

Responsibilities include admission/discharge coordination, quality assessment, staff development, and scheduling while maintaining productivity guidelines.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS within 90 days.
• PALS within 90 days.
• BCLS within 30 days or Instructor.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing nursing strategies (rounding, hourly rounds).
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; action plans including training, development, conflict resolution, and policy compliance.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and manages supplies and equipment.
