Job summary

AdventHealth in Riverview, FL is seeking an experienced RN for night shift on a full-time basis. You will evaluate patient care quality, lead nursing staff on designated shifts, ensure accurate real-time documentation, and guide physicians’ orders.

The role requires strong clinical leadership, EMR proficiency, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration. Requirements include an Associate's degree in Nursing, RN license, BLS, and 1+ year acute care experience; Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees

Qualifications

• RN license required and BLS CPR
• 1+ year acute care experience required
• Leadership/charge RN experience preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality of patient care and outcomes based on treatments.
• Direct and coordinate nursing personnel on shifts and oversee staff.
• Ensure real-time documentation and timely physician orders.
• Advise nurses on when to call physicians.
• Use electronic tools to evaluate treatment plans and outcomes.
• Monitor chart audits to ensure documentation guidelines.
• Support interdisciplinary team and collaborate with staff and physicians.
• Orient new staff with preceptors and coordinate clinical experiences.
• Participate in policy development and revisions.
• Act on behalf of the Nurse Manager when necessary.
