Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Med Surg Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee a clinic unit and coordinate scheduling for unit RNs. The role partners with pre-hospital providers, nursing staff, and hospital administration to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include directing day-to-day staffing, mentoring staff, maintaining service standards, and tracking customer service performance.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Two years relevant clinical nursing experience.
• Level II EQ requires two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
• Arizona RN license; CPR; ACLS as applicable by facility/department.
• ACLS/PALS as required or must obtain within defined period.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate functions for a single departmental unit.
• Schedule unit RNs and supervise care provided by RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Mentor staff and assist with orientation and competency development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and develop plans/processes accordingly.
• Provide patient care according to designated standards and practices.
• Manage customer service and track performance; take corrective action as needed.
