Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our acute care unit. This part-time position requires a current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, with BSN preferred. Shifts are Days, part-time schedule; a supportive team and commitment to quality care.

You will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to monitor patient conditions and treatment responses in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, diagnostic results and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
