Job summary

Creighton University is seeking a Financial Aid Manager on campus to coordinate and communicate all financial aid aspects for medical (MD) and PA students. You will counsel students individually, plan and deliver a financial literacy program, and manage departmental budgets and disbursements.

The role involves meeting with students, presenting at events, and providing exit counseling and debt management guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in business/finance/accounting/higher education administration or related area.
• 3+ years of financial aid counseling and/or financial literacy experience required.
• Strong business acumen with budget, financial records, p-card processing and scholarship funds.
• Experience interpreting and communicating complex financial information to groups of students.

Responsibilities

• Meet with medical school and PA students to discuss federal financial aid, scholarships, cost of attendance, budgeting, and credit reports/scores.
• Provide financial aid counseling to matriculating, current, and alumni students via email, phone, or walk-ins.
• Present mandatory Financial Literacy curriculum tailored to each year of medical school.
• Provide mandatory exit counseling for graduates with debt and offer personalized loan exit counseling.
• Oversee School of Medicine scholarship budgets, applications, and awards; prepare information for committees.
