Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) Med-Peds Division seeks a board certified or eligible Med-Peds physician for a full-time academic Hospitalist appointment. The role can be inpatient, outpatient, or a blend, with a dual appointment in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

As a clinician educator, you will lead rounds, teach students and residents, provide care at CHOI and SFMC, pursue research and quality initiatives, and participate in education programs throughout the

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
• Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
• Successful completion of Med-Peds residency (4 years) or nearing completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching rounds for medical students and residents in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Provide clinical care for inpatients at CHOI and SFMC.
• Organize and conduct research and quality improvement projects as desired.
• Optionally precept in outpatient Med-Peds residency clinic at Heartland Health Services.
• Participate in education programs and academic leadership within the departments.
• Perform other duties of a university faculty member including curriculum development and administration.
