Job summary

Capital Health in New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory Technician with phlebotomy and specimen processing responsibilities to join our clinical laboratory team. You will prepare samples, operate analyzer equipment, and record results accurately while adhering to infection control standards.

The position offers 8-hour days, 36 scheduled hours per week, and a pay range of $28.14 - $36.58 per hour with full benefits. AAS/associated field degree and prior clinical lab experience are desired.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with personal computers.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Completion of training in medical technology program or related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs all testing accurately and timely within their assigned section using computer linked automated equipment or manual methodologies.
• Prepares samples of blood and body fluids for analysis and records results accurately.
• Performs procedures following infection control practices and quality assurance standards.
• Provides age-appropriate care when performing phlebotomy and other direct patient services and mentors staff as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
