Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receives a variety of specimen types and determines specimen integrity following labeling criteria.
• Performs clerical duties, computer system tasks, and provides timely distribution of specimens.
• Maintains LIS/HIS input, retrieves patient data, and reports test results.
• Responds to STAT specimens promptly and adheres to infection control practices.
• Keeps work area sanitary and escalates issues to supervisor when needed.
