Job summary

Legacy at Town Creek in Palestine, TX is hiring as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The role requires active Texas CNA certification and Texas Medication Aide certification, with 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend off, 7am–7pm. A shift bonus is available for extra shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid Texas CNA certification in good standing.
• Must have current Texas Medication Aide certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage and time of administration on specified forms or records.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application or administers medication using specified procedures.
• Takes vital signs or observes residents to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
• Takes and records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
• Answers signal lights, bells or intercom system to determine resident needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Will assist on floor as C.N.A. Must have current TX certification for both Med Aide and Nurse Aide.
