Job summary

NeighborHealth, a community health leader in the Boston area, seeks a Manager of Medication Access & Specialty Pharmacy Operations. This role leads day-to-day operations, prioritizes prior authorizations and access workflows, and partners with providers, payers, and staff to ensure timely, affordable, and clinically appropriate medications.

The successful candidate will have a PharmD, MA licensure, 5+ years in medication access or related fields, and 2+ years in leadership, with strong ACHC/URAC

Qualifications

• PharmD degree and MA pharmacist licensure required.
• Minimum five years in specialty pharmacy, medication access, ambulatory care, managed care, or related setting.
• At least two years of leadership, supervisory, project leadership, or operational management experience.
• Experience with ACHC and/or URAC accreditation standards strongly preferred.
• Experience with workflow optimization, quality improvement and performance metrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily medication access and specialty pharmacy operations to ensure timely, affordable therapies and high-quality care.
• Oversee prior authorizations, benefit investigations, financial assistance enrollment, and specialty workflows.
• Supervise medication access staff and drive performance standards and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with providers, payers, and operational partners to remove barriers and optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor metrics, implement solutions, and ensure accreditation readiness and compliance.
