Job summary

RTX in Georgia seeks an Engine Inspection Technician to inspect engine components and verify proper configuration for engine builds. You will document inspection results and support production goals with thorough paperwork.

The role requires a HS diploma and 1+ year in aviation inspection; U.S. Person status is required. Preferred are an A&P license and experience with turbine engines, plus proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Complete and review technical documentation, including fits & clearances, engine inspection reports, and SAP transactions.
• Complete and review engine package documentation.

What You Will Do:

• Use a variety of tooling and measurement equipment to inspect engine components to validate proper configuration and compliance with requirements.
• Provide complete and accurate documentation to support Engine Builds.
• Meet production/inspection goals and objectives for the MECOE Team.
• Complete and review technical documentation, including Fits & Clearances, Engine Inspection Reports, and SAP transactions.
• Complete and Review Engine Package documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or equivalent or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• 1+ years' experience in aviation inspection role
• U.S. Person status is required, as only U.S Persons are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, Powerplant License, or 2+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in Turbine Engine overhaul, inspection and repair, precision measuring tool usage - preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, or Assembly.
• Ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
