Job summary

DMI in Arlington, VA is seeking an MECM Engineering Lead to direct the enterprise MECM/UEM operations in a federal government environment. The role blends hands-on MECM expertise with leadership to ensure secure, scalable endpoint management.

You will lead deployments, scripting, and cross‑functional collaboration with security and ITSM teams, while mentoring a team of senior engineers to meet mission priorities. Candidates with TS clearance preferred and U.S.

Qualifications

  • Strong MECM/SCCM architecture and administration experience (3–5+ years).
  • Experience with OS deployment, driver management, and configuration baselines.
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, batch, or other automation tools).
  • Understanding of endpoint security, compliance, and UEM strategies.
  • Leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a government or regulated environment with security clearances (TS clearance highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead MECM administration, deployments, updates, patches, configurations.
  • Ensure MECM infra scales with growth and mission needs.
  • Develop MECM configurations, collections, and task sequences for OS/app deployment.

  • Orchestrate security patch cycles to meet patching timelines.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks, improve deployment efficiency, and generate reports.
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior and mid-level engineers, guiding skill development and prioritizing customer needs.

About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking an MECM Engineering to join us. The MECM Engineering is a senior technical and managerial role focused on leading the ongoing operations and management of a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment in a complex federal government environment. The MECM Engineering Lead is responsible for the enterprise Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) strategy, blending hands‑on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient endpoint management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the administration and support of MECM, managing software deployments, updates, patches, and configurations across the organization.
  • Ensure MECM infrastructure is scalable to meet organizational growth and mission needs
  • Develop and maintain MECM configurations, collections, and task sequences for OS and application deployment.
  • Manage operating system images, validate new hardware, and implement hardware/OS refresh cycles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex MECM client and deployment issues.
  • Monitor and maintain MECM infrastructure for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Establish and follow industry best practices for both routine and zero-day patch management.
  • Deploy and update applications according to defined criteria, ensuring compatibility and compliance.
