Job summary

The engineer will join a team responsible for MECM/Intune design, patch management procedures, and lifecycle support across CONUS/OCONUS field operations to enable mission-focused IT operations.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required.
  • Security+ certification or 8570/IAT II compliant.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience; degree may substitute for 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement MECM/Intune solution for DoD Enterprise IT as a Service program.
  • Ensure scalable design to meet DoD needs and growth.
  • Establish patch management procedures and compliance.
  • Deploy applications and updates based on defined criteria.
  • Troubleshoot patching issues and conflicts.
  • Create SOPs and documentation for operations hand-offs.
  • Operate and maintain MECM infrastructure across the enterprise.
  • Track SLAs/SLRs and generate periodic reports.
  • Collaborate with security teams to meet requirements on time.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.

The Opportunity

CACI is looking for a skilled Microsoft Endpoint Management (MEM) Engineer, specializing in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM, formerly SCCM) to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. The candidate will join a team of engineers responsible for engineering and implementing an enterprise Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Solution. The UEM solution shall be capable of managing all Windows and Bring Your Own Approved Device (BYOAD) endpoints.

On the EITaaS program, CACI will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DAF to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an experienced MECM engineer assisting with the design and implementation of the MECM/Intune solution for the DAF.
  • Ensuring the design of the solution is scalable to meet DAF needs/growth.
  • Establishing procedures based on industry best practices for both routine and zero-day patch management.
  • Deploy applications and application updates based on defined criteria.
  • Remediate issues related to failed patches or applications and conflicts related to patching.
  • Create documentation/SOPs for new procedures and manual steps to complete tasks for soft hand-offs and cross-training of support personnel.
  • Operate and maintain the overall MECM infrastructure supporting the enterprise.
  • Track all relevant SLA/SLRs and provide reports as required.
  • Collaborate with DAF enterprise and program security teams to ensure requirements are met within allotted timeframes.
  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Security + Certification or must meet 8570 compliance/IAT II compliance
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
  • Experience testing, deploying, and troubleshooting the installation of Microsoft and third-party software updates
  • Experience building/deploying application packages in SCCM 2012/MECM Current Branch
  • Experience managing a large MECM infrastructure
  • Experience managing Windows Servers and Workstations (mobile devices a plus)
  • Experience with Adaptiva OneSite/Client Health
  • Experience working in a DoD environment
  • Familiarity with STIG requirements
  • Familiarity with ITILv4
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$75,200-$158,100
