Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.

Typical duties include safe work practices, preventative maintenance with documentation, and troubleshooting a range of MHE components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems or apprenticeship.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.).
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders safely, bend and reach as required.
