Job summary

JLL is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician in Iowa City to support the Operations Maintenance team. You will repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, install and service automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.

The role includes safe work practices, preventive maintenance documentation, troubleshooting of MHE, inventory tracking, and potential travel up to 20%. Flexible shifts and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment.
• 2+ years performing predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Possible travel up to 20% at a minimum.
