Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.

The role emphasizes safe practices, preventive maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems with potential travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Associates or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical field.
• 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment safety standards.
• Experience with a CMMS.
• Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
• Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Possible travel up to 20% at a minimum.
