Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice in Boise, Idaho. The program trains you to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics systems in a complex fulfillment center through classroom, lab, and on-the-job learning.

You will learn to work with PLCs, robotics, and automation equipment while adhering to health and safety policies, and you’ll shadow experienced advisors to gain practical, hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
• Ability to travel to attend training at one of 3 training sites in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina or Texas for 12 weeks Basic computer skills, i.e. email, word processing, reading spreadsheets, internet browser basics.
• Basic troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Learn to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, and control systems in a Fulfilment/Distribution Center.
• Learn PLCs and robotics systems in a laboratory and real environment.
• Shadow experienced advisors and follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with operators to ensure equipment runs safely.
