Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) in Channahon, IL is seeking a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice to learn how to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, and robotics systems in a fast-paced Fulfilment/Distribution Center through classroom, lab, and on-the-job learning.

You will train on PLCs and automation equipment, shadow senior technicians, and collaborate with robotics engineers, undergoing safety training and gaining hands-on experience

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
• Ability to travel to attend training at one of 3 training sites in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina or Texas for 12 weeks.
• Basic computer skills, i.e. email, word processing, reading spreadsheets, internet browser basics.
• Basic troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Shadow technicians and learn to identify and repair malfunctions.
• Learn PLCs and robotics in a lab environment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during installation and maintenance.
• Perform maintenance to ensure process efficiency and safety.
