Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice to learn installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, and control systems within a distribution center. The program includes classroom, lab, and on-the-job learning, with promoted roles upon completion.

You will train at accredited colleges nationwide and travel arrangements are provided for the 9-week program. Candidates should be open to a fast-paced, safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to enroll in and attend a 9-week training at one of four colleges listed in the job description.
• Able to complete one year of On-the-Job Learning at the home site after the 9-week training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas.

Responsibilities

• Safety: follow work processes closely at school and on the shop floor to ensure a safe environment while job shadowing with a technical advisor in On-the-Job Learning (OJL).
• Maintenance: perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to detect and prevent problems; install, repair, adjust, and test equipment; maintain MHE documentation.
• Monitoring: analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules and components.
• Support: learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers in a lab environment.
• Communication: collaborate within a team in school and OJL.
