Job summary

Amazon in Richmond, Virginia is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice to learn electronic, mechanical, computer and control skills on high-performance manufacturing systems. You will work with journey workers, analyze and repair equipment, and ensure safety regulations are followed.

You will be mentored by senior technicians, grow your skills in robotics/MHE maintenance, and contribute to equipment availability and process efficiency across facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science or 4+ years of military experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ years PC software experience including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
• Knowledge of mathematics and measurement reading.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using plans and manuals.
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems of MHE components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, and related equipment.
• Lift up to 49 lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, and climb ladders safely.
