Job summary

TaylorMade Golf Company is seeking a Research Engineer – Mechatronics to design, prototype, and validate electromechanical systems for golf equipment. This role operates in a lab environment, taking concepts through deployment and includes sensor integration and data capture for performance analysis.

You will develop wiring, IoT platforms, and embedded firmware (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32) to drive test automation and software interfaces, while collaborating across research and development

Qualifications

• Expertise in integrating mechanical, electrical, actuators and controllers into prototypes.
• Ability to read and create wiring diagrams, schematics and PCB layouts.
• Sensor selection, calibration, and characterization across environmental constraints.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, wire, assemble, and test mechatronic systems for golf equipment.
• Develop wiring diagrams for custom hardware, test rigs and IoT devices.
• Select and characterize sensors incl. IMUs, load cells, encoders, and pressure sensors.
• Design IoT systems and wireless data acquisition for real-time data.
• Develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers to drive test automation.
• Write code to interface hardware, process data, and build apps; apply AI tools.
• Document designs with schematics, BOMs, test protocols, and calibration records.
