Persona AI is seeking a Mechatronics Manufacturing Engineer in Houston, TX to design and build test fixtures, assembly aids, and end-of-line stations for humanoid robot production. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and software work.

You will wire sensors, write test code, run on the shop floor, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design engineering to define ‘good’ parts and repeatable procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or hands-on equivalent in a relevant field.
• 3+ years building test fixtures, tooling, or manufacturing test equipment.
• Ability to design across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for fixture design.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids for robot subsystems.
• Develop end-of-line and in-process test stations with hardware and software.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, motors, and electronics into fixtures.
• Write Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW scripts for data collection and test sequencing.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design engineering to define good parts.
• Iterate fixture designs based on line feedback and product changes.
• Debug fixtures and test stations on the shop floor.
• Document fixture designs, test procedures, and calibration steps.
• Provide DFM/DFT feedback to design engineering.
• Perform statistical analysis of quality metrics and feed into processes.
