Job summary

TRUMPF is seeking a future Business Management Intern to gain hands-on experience across Sales, Product & Project Management, Technical Service, and Applications. Onsite in Plymouth, MI, January 2027 through August 2027, 24+ hours per week, you will learn controls, robotics, and laser processing while contributing to real projects.

Work with experienced professionals, develop engineering and programming skills, and build a foundation in pneumatic, safety, and fieldbus systems within a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, robotics, mechatronics, electronics or other related field
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and verbal skills
• Great communication skills
• Experience programming/coding, schooling or work environment required
• PLC or other embedded programming experience preferred
• Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering duties to gain controls, robotics, and laser processing experience.
• Assist with standardizing pneumatic controls and documenting laser safety systems.
• Support Applications team on robotics and control topics during development.
• Adhere to company guidelines and participate in project work as assigned.
