Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Mechatronics Intern to support plant controls and automation teams with hands-on work on PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion control, and automation technologies in a production setting.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to troubleshoot equipment, optimize processes, and assist with automation projects that improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with anticipated graduation in 2028.
• Knowledge of industrial automation platforms such as Rockwell, Allen‑Bradley, Siemens or equivalent.
• Ability to work with industrial robotic systems (Fanuc/ABB/UR/KUKA).

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, programming, and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, servo, motion control, and robotic systems.
• Support the Controls Engineering team to improve plant automation systems.
• Monitor performance and address issues impacting production operations.
• Perform root cause analysis and assist in corrective actions.
• Support testing, commissioning, and validation activities for automation projects.
• Document system updates, troubleshooting, and project improvements.
