Job summary

Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Mechatronics Intern to help develop actuator solutions for marine drive applications. You will bridge electrical and mechanical engineering in a fast-paced design and lab environment, using Matlab or Python for data processing.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical/electrical/robotics engineering, knowledge of control systems and power electronics, and availability to work full-time during May–August 2027. Relocation is available.

Qualifications

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, robotics engineering or closely related field.
Strong working knowledge of control systems, sensors, power electronics, brushed and brushless motors.
Data Acquisition and test design.
Strong technical background and great communication skills.
Experience participating in DFMEA based design methods.
Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
Availability to work full-time (40+ hours/week) May–August 2027.

Responsibilities

Process data with Matlab or Python.
Work with Engineers and Technicians to develop actuator solutions.
Become a resource for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with existing and new actuator products.
Utilize and contribute to the data-based engineering community at Brunswick.
Participate in DFMEA activities for existing product improvement opportunities or new actuator products.
