Lan Handling is seeking a Mechatronics Field Service Engineer to cover the Americas. You will travel to customer sites across North and South America to install, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN automation systems.
When not traveling, you provide remote support, connect to machines, analyze software, and minimize downtime. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and upgrades onsite, and contribute feedback to the Service and Engineering teams in the Netherlands.
No two weeks are the same in this role. One week you might be supporting customers remotely from home, while the next week you are traveling across North or South America to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced LAN installations.
Your week often starts by reviewing incoming service requests and preparing for upcoming customer visits. A customer in the United States may be experiencing an issue with the software in a production line, while another customer is planning a maintenance shutdown. You coordinate priorities, review technical documentation, and make sure you have everything needed for a successful intermediation[LE1].
When you're not traveling, you provide remote support to customers throughout the Americas. You connect to machines, analyze software, troubleshoot issues, and help customers minimize downtime. Thanks to your knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems, you're able to quickly identify problems and determine the right solution.
A large part of your time is spent onsite at customer facilities. During these visits, you perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine upgrades. One day you may be replacing mechanical components, while later in the week you are commissioning a software modification or investigating an electrical issue. You enjoy the variety and challenge that comes with working on complex automated production lines. As the eyes and ears of LAN in the field, you continuously identify opportunities for improvement. You share recommendations with customers and provide valuable feedback to the Service and Engineering teams in the Netherlands.
Once you come to work at Lan Handling, shopping will never be the same again. From that day on, you will turn over all the pouches, cans and jars you see. And always that check: yes, we also handle this product with our machines! But, of course, that's not all:
