Utah Valley University invites applications for a Professional-in-Residence in Mechatronics Engineering Technology in the Department of Technology Management and Mechatronics. The PIR teaches undergraduate courses, develops instructional materials, directs projects, and maintains office hours to support student learning.

The position begins January 1, 2027, with up to 20% industry outreach and potential teaching day, evening, off-campus, or online as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Industry and/or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate mechatronics engineering technology courses.
• Create instructional materials and direct course projects.
• Hold regular office hours and engage in outreach activities (20%).
