The Toro Company in Bloomington, Minnesota invites engineering students to join our co-op program. This role focuses on Hardware-in-Loop testing, converting test systems, and expanding coverage with new tests for electromechanical components.
You will work on mechatronics projects, create test plans, analyze results, and collaborate with teams. Eligible candidates are ABET engineering majors, enrolled in a two-semester Co-Op, with skills in Python, LabVIEW, and electronics.

Hardware-in-Loop – This will be the primary project for the co‑op. Convert existing test systems to a new architecture, write new tests to expand coverage, review and execute regression tests.
In addition to the test system design project: Component Testing Project(s) Creating test plans for electronic and mechatronic components Analyze test results to identify trends and failure modes Report test results and design recommendations Assist with other mechatronics projects as needed.
Preferred Majors: 2+ Years Completed of an ABET-accredited Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering. Must be enrolled in a two semester (Spring-Summer) Co-Op program.
Preferred Skills: Python, Arduino, LabVIEW, TestStand, Microsoft Office Suite, Soldering, Wiring, Electrical Schematics, DC Circuits, Embedded Systems.
