Qualifications

• 5+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years of designing, building, or analyzing robotic systems.
• Strong MATLAB coding skills for analysis and simulation; CAD experience with SolidWorks.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, prioritize work, and communicate technical results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to take designs from concept to production.
• Intake robotic concepts and create kinematic concepts based on components.
• Perform basic loads and feasibility checks.
• Generate URDF files for robot models.
• Drive dynamics evaluation using MATLAB tools.
• Interpret outputs and iterate on robot concepts.
• Collaborate with customers to align requirements and discuss tradeoffs.
• Code/script in MATLAB to support analyses.
• Design and adapt holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems.
• Work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and integrators to deliver automation solutions.
