Job summary

HIWIN Corporation in Huntley, IL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our on-site team focused on motors, drives, and robotics. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting and collaboration across engineering, applications, and sales.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or Mechatronics with Controls) and 2+ years of experience with motors, servo drives, and motion control, plus programming in C++, C#, or Python.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Mechatronics with Controls).
2+ years in electrical engineering, automation, robotics or mechatronics.
Experience with motors, servo drives or motion control systems.
Familiarity with C++, C#, Python.
Understanding of control systems and servo tuning.
Exposure to industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus).

Responsibilities

Support design, testing, and integration of mechatronic systems across HIWIN's product portfolio.
Troubleshoot and optimize electrical and motion control systems, including servo tuning and multi-axis performance.
Test and validate motors, drives, and controllers to meet specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, applications, and global engineering.
Participate in system integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
