Job summary

Opulo, Inc. is building a desktop Pick and Place machine to enable mid-scale manufacturing. We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to own parts from concept to shipping, including designing mechanical parts in CAD and interfacing with PCBs.

You will prototype, test against PRD, collaborate with Product and Manufacturing, and help spin up production. If you enjoy wearing many hats and taking ownership, join Opulo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience designing mechanical parts in CAD and interfacing with PCBs.
• Ability to prototype, test to PRD specs, and iterate designs.

Responsibilities

• Design next generation products with manufacturability and cost in mind.
• Prototype designs and test against PRD specifications.
• Collaborate with Product to determine optimal approach for customer problems.
• Work with Manufacturing to transition designs to production.
• Assist Sourcing with vendor communications, FAI, and quality standards.
• Design and fabricate jigs for the production team.
