Description:
Provide engineering support for duplicating equipment to facilitate production ramp-up across multiple product lines.
- Manage equipment procurement, build, and qualification activities according to business schedules.
- Guide and provide technical direction to technicians for line duplication and support tasks.
- Support a range of equipment from manual fixtures to semi-automated electro-mechanical systems.
- Contribute to meeting the commercial demand of the Ion business unit.
- Require a solid understanding of mechanical engineering and design principles.
- Experience with CAD design and multi-level BOM management is preferred.
- Assistance from senior engineers is available for complex designs.
Essential Job Duties
- Manage BOMs and CAD drawings for moderately complex equipment designs.
- Document equipment requirements, specifications, design, and operation in compliance with GMP.
- Create build instructions for internal technicians and third-party integrators.
- Assist in assembling, commissioning, and testing equipment for qualification activities.
- Perform qualification and validation to meet company and government standards.
- Develop troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration procedures.
- Provide technical support for ongoing production operations.
- Design and implement continuous improvement projects related to test equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems involving motion control, pneumatics, and vision.
- Read electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and understand electromechanical components and motion control applications.
Required Skills and Experience
- Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
- Ability to integrate mechatronic components via wiring and mechanical assembly.
- Experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems with motion control, pneumatics, and vision.
