Since 2016, SIA Solutions, a Salas O'Brien Company, has been working with the National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) of Carnegie Mellon University on the design of a Concrete Mat Laying Robotics System for use in the marine industry by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In 2025, the project is advancing from design and testing to full-scale production and implementation.
This project will significantly impact traffic on the Mississippi River and create a safer work environment.
SIA seeks a Mechatronics Automation Technician to collaborate with Engineers and Designers, providing technical support during production, testing, and system development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative capabilities of national importance. They will work with advanced sensors, communication systems, and unmanned platforms, supported by top-tier hardware, testing infrastructure, and a team that values excellence and continuous learning.
