Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience; or Graduate Degree with 2+ years experience.
• Experience applying mechanical engineering principles to mechanisms, structures or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with structural mechanics principles including free body diagrams and load analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanisms, mechanical assemblies, and structural hardware for development and sustainment programs.
• Translate requirements into mechanical specifications, verification plans, and test procedures.
• Perform mechanical design and thermal analyses to meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Develop and execute verification/qualification testing with data collection and reporting.
• Support troubleshooting and corrective actions across design, test, production, and fielded products.
• Coordinate with CAD designers and cross-functional teams on drawings, tolerances, and change orders.
• Assess structural integrity of installations and aircraft modifications; validate interfaces and attachments.
• Assist in transitioning designs to manufacturing and installation; improve producibility and maintainability.
• Contribute to life cycle sustainment activities including repair and replacement parts.
