Job summary

ROSEN Group is seeking a Junior Mechanics Technician based near Columbus, OH. You will repair and test mechanical components of in-line inspection tools, mount external sensors, and collaborate with service technicians on assembly and testing processes.

The role requires 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience, an associates degree in mechanics is a plus, and familiarity with reading schematics and using hand and power tools. A safety-conscious, team-oriented mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant mechanic assembly or mechanical component experience.
• Associates degree with emphasis in mechanics a plus.
• Experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment required.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams, specification sheets and manuals.
• Must comply with Health and Safety regulations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• A self-motivated, proactive individual who can work independently or in a team.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Repair and test mechanical components of in-line inspection tools per procedures.
• Repair and mount external sensors to in-line inspection tools per drawings.
• Identify mechanical and plastic parts that may need to be purchased or manufactured.
• Collaborate with Field Service Technicians on mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with Electronics Technicians for final tool testing and assembly.

ROSEN is looking for a Junior Mechanics Technician that will be based in Houston, TX. This position reports directly to the Head of Shop Operations and will be a part of the Shop Operations team.

What will I be doing?

• Repair and test mechanical components of in-line inspection tools in accordance with documented work procedures, technical instructions, drawings and parts lists.
• Repair and mount external sensors to in-line inspection tools in accordance with documented work procedures, technical instructions, drawings and parts lists.
• Ability to identify mechanical and plastic parts and other elements that may need to be purchased or manufactured for the tool.
• Work in close cooperation with Field Service Technicians regarding mechanical issues.
• Work in close cooperation with ElectronicsTechnicians for final tool testing and assembly.

What are we looking for?

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. with the assistance of another person from a start height of 48 inches to an end height of 9 inches from the floor up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to lift up to 29 lbs. from a start height of 9 inches to end height of 36 inches from the floor up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to push-pull up to 35 lbs. a distance of 75 feet up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to push-pull with a force up to 10 lbs. a distance of 300 feet up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to push-pull with a force up to 39 lbs. a distance of 10 feet up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to push-pull with a force up to 17 lbs. a distance of 75 feet up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to push-pull up to 30 lbs. up to 2 times per hour.
• Must be able to grasp/squeeze tools with forces up to 45 lbs. up to 20 times per hour.
• Must be able to ascend/descend a flight of 18 stairs with a height of 10 inches from the floor up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to ascend/descend a three stair step stool with a height of 10 inches from the floor up to 1 time per hour.
• Must be able to stand up to 1 hour continuously for a total of up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to walk a distance up to 300 feet.
