Job summary

RealREPP, a national recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established construction/engineering firm with multiple locations across the United States to hire an experienced Structural Steel VDC Manager. This is a fully remote role offering growth opportunities and competitive compensation.

The position requires leading a 50+ person VDC steel team, coordinating with design and fabrication teams, and ensuring high-quality detailing using Revit, Navisworks, Advance Steel, Tekla or SDS2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience leading a 50+ person team.
• Experience managing in-office and remote teams.
• Experience with 50,000 tons+ projects.
• Knowledge of steel detailing approval processes.
• Familiarity with major industrial projects (hyperscale data centers, etc.).
• Proficiency with Advance Steel, Tekla or SDS2.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam & BIM360.
• In-depth understanding of AISC codes & AWS.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee VDC structural steel team
• Lead development of team & utilize performance metrics
• Utilize Revit, Navisworks & Advance Steel
• Provide individual performance reviews & skills assessments
• Attend project kickoff meetings and review tasks, communicate needs for scope clarification
• Provide quality control
• Oversee profitability, document/track internal work orders
• Collaborate with other teams to generate accurate quotations

• Experience with 50,000 tons +
• Experience with major industrial projects (hyperscale data centers, mission-critical, advanced tech, etc.)
• Knowledge of steel detailing standard approval process
• Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, welding procedures, installation processes
• Proficiency with Advance Steel, Tekla or SDS2 required
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam & BIM360
• In-depth understanding of AISC codes & AWS
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed
• Strong organizational skills

Compensation Package

• $150-190k base (range based on experience)
