Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking an Associate Mechanical Value Engineer to drive mechanical cost reduction, improve manufacturability, and optimize supplier performance. The role interfaces with Mechanical Design, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, and external fabrication partners to deliver high-value solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

The engineer applies DFM, DFA, and DFV principles across fabrication technologies, supporting NPI and sustaining products, with a focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing/ value engineering.
• Experience with mechanical fabrication processes and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability and tolerances.
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and manufacturing efficiency in mechanicals.
• Work with sheet metal, machining, die casting, plastics, extrusion, and assemblies.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to optimize processes and cut costs.
• Identify tooling/material/process improvements to reduce total product cost.
• Analyze data to identify improvements and corrective actions.
• Support supplier audits and qualification activities.
• Communicate recommendations and business cases for cost reduction.
