Job summary

Kunin is seeking a facilities/mechanical engineer to design and oversee mechanical utility systems in a chemical processing environment. You will own piping, HVAC, and integrated equipment packages, and lead installation planning for both demo lines and future facilities.

The role requires CAD proficiency, experience with vendor coordination, and the ability to work extended hours. U.S. citizenship is required; position is based in Chattanooga, TN.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
• At least three years of facilities or plant engineering experience owning mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing and installing utility piping, HVAC, or mechanical equipment packages.
• Familiarity with CAD and piping design tools.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee mechanical utility systems for chemical processing areas.
• Prepare equipment installation packages and support vendor selection.
• Assist installation, troubleshooting, and upgrades for the demonstration line.
• Support future greenfield facility projects.
