Job summary

Kunin Technologies is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead end-to-end flowsheet development for hydrometallurgical separations in Chattanooga, TN. You will own the economics, de-risk unit operations, and drive pilot testing to deliver samples for offtake partners while guiding basic and detailed engineering.

You will oversee vendor selection, EPCM coordination, and facility start-up to achieve nameplate capacity, in an early-stage startup environment with high expectations and autonomy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in process engineering including flowsheet development and detailed engineering.
• Capable of developing a hydrometallurgical process from paper to operation.
• Willing to author PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications and related docs.
• Comfortable with progressive stage-gates and strong autonomy in a startup setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead flowsheet development end to end from comminution to product polishing and effluent management.
• Own techno-economics to assess viability and guide Go/No-Go decisions.
• Determine when scaled testing is needed to de-risk unit operations and generate product samples for off-take partners.
• Lead pilot testing to collect data and samples as required.
• Oversee basic and detailed engineering including FEED and EPCM coordination.
• Identify and vet key process technology vendors from pilot to commercialization.
• Manage Kunin’s facility construction scope and EPCM support.
• Drive facility start-up to nameplate capacity with on-spec product.
