Job summary

Industrial is seeking a Mechanical Technical Specialist to support the Maintenance Organization and Hotline Department in Alcoa, TN. The role demands strong technical troubleshooting, leadership of craft teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment and process issues, assisting in outage planning, managing small capital projects, and providing downtime support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical systems and controls used in industrial applications.
• Ability to work days or nights and provide weekend support.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong problem solving using lean tools (5c’s and 8-step problem solving).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot to restore product flow and respond to trouble calls on a 24/7 basis.
• Act as direct support of the Maintenance Organization and work with craft employees.
• Analyze equipment and process data to identify problems and develop improvements.
• Assist in outage planning and support process engineering.
• Manage small capital projects, major repairs, and downtime work.
