Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in assisting tradesmen or journeymen in the areas of rigging, mechanics, boat handling, machinery, electrical or preventive maintenance.
• In addition to assisting others, must be able to complete parts of a trade independently.

Responsibilities

• Assists one or more workers in skilled maintenance trades by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying materials/tools and cleaning work areas/machinery/equipment.
• Hold materials or tools and perform other tasks as directed by journeymen or supervisor.
• May perform after-hours, weekend and emergency response services as required; may travel overnight.
