Job summary

100Hires, Inc. seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer focused on tooling, fixtures, and CAD/CAM for a precision manufacturing setup serving aerospace, defense, medical device, and industrial customers.

You will translate customer drawings into repeatable manufacturing processes on the production floor. The role requires 2+ years in tooling design, strong 3D CAD and CAM programming skills, and the ability to troubleshoot on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years designing tooling, fixtures, or related production equipment.
• Strong 3D CAD capability with CAM experience for CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design molds, mandrels, fixtures, gauges, and other production tooling.
• Develop 3D CAD models and CAD/CAM solutions from customer drawings and STEP models.
• Create CAM programs for CNC mills/routers and support prove-out with machinists.
• Troubleshoot tooling, dimensional, fit, and manufacturing problems on the production floor.
• Review drawings and GD&T to identify manufacturability issues; support inspection planning and metrology needs.
• Draft tooling requirements, estimated hours, and costs for new customer programs; assist in vendor quotes.
