Overview

Element is seeking a Mechanical Testing Technician (Varied Shifts) to join our expanding team. The technician performs routine and non-routine testing within the department, ensuring timely and accurate results under supervision. Core skills include safety compliance, adherence to company policies, and technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare material specimens for testing.
2. Perform tests according to customer specifications.
3. Operate under supervision of senior staff or managers as needed.
4. Gather and record test data accurately.
5. Maintain a safe work environment.
6. Construct and maintain test fixtures and laboratory equipment with minimal supervision.

Skills / Qualifications

1. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.
2. HS diploma or GED preferred; college or vocational coursework welcomed.
3. At least 2 years' experience in a testing-related field.
4. Understanding of testing concepts.
5. Basic algebra and geometry skills are a plus.

Physical Demands: Lifting requirements include frequently lifting <50 lbs. and occasionally >50 lbs.
