Job summary

Phillips and Temro Industries seeks an engineer to support product evaluation, maintain lab facilities, and perform tests per procedures. The role involves calibrating equipment, documenting results, and collaborating with design engineers to meet validation requests.

The candidate will fabricate test fixtures, interpret drawings, and ensure compliance with safety standards while contributing to project status and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years professional engineering experience.
• Experience operating vibration shaker testing equipment and environmental chambers.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to understand, execute and document tests.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools to fabricate test fixtures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Engineering lab area and ensures test equipment is in good functional order, including calibration when necessary.
• Responsible for maintaining lab facilities and ensuring safety regulations and policies are followed.
• Analyze and define methods for evaluating new and existing products; perform tests and assist with validation testing.
• Reports and documents test results as specified.
• Works with design engineering to interpret customer validation requests.
• Provides project status and risk assessments to engineering personnel.
